Australian Work and Holiday Visa Form (US)


This Work and Holiday Visa application form is intended for US citizens between 18 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the time of their application.

With this visa, you may travel to Australia and combine holiday, work and studies.

As a US citizen, you may stay in Australia for up to one year and work for the same employer for up to 6 months, or study for up to 4 months. You can spend up to the full visa period on holiday.

Conditions for Work and Holiday visa application:

  • You must be between 18 and 30 years of age (inclusive)
  • You must be in good health
  • You must have the financial means to support yourself in the beginning of your stay

IMPORTANT:
In order to successfully submit your application, a scanned/digital copy of the following documents will be needed:

  • Copy of passport ID page
  • Passport photo
  • Documentary evidence of education

If you do not have all the necessary documents at the moment, you can save the application and upload the documents later (for more details on these documents, see the dedicated area at the end of the application form).

You can apply for several persons at the same time, and each Working Holiday visa will cost $625.00. Price includes both Auvisa.org’s service fees and government fees (where applicable).

Visa applicants are encouraged to be immunised against infectious diseases before travelling to Australia. Visa applicants who are unable to arrange their immunisation before departure from their home country are encouraged to seek advice on arrival in Australia. The Australian state and territory health authorities assist people to obtain general medical help and advice, including immunisation. Parents are strongly encouraged to have their children immunised against hepatitis B, diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), poliomyelitis, haemophilus influenzae type-b (Hib), pneumococcal and meningococcal infections, mumps, measles, rubella and varicella (chickenpox). Babies between the ages of 2 and 8 months of age (only) are also encouraged to be immunised against rotavirus.

Parents should bring any immunisation records for their children with them to Australia.

Rubella vaccinations are strongly encouraged for women of child-bearing age.
